Why hybrid-electric
Electric motors give quiet, precise thrust. A small generator gives endurance that batteries alone cannot. The battery is only a buffer, roughly the size used in the only certified electric aeroplane today, which keeps the certification path realistic. The design follows EASA's special condition for electric and hybrid propulsion.
